Summerville, S.C. - In a phone conversation today with Summerville News, Dr. Sabrina Ferguson Edwards has informed us that she is currently refunding donations and intends to pull her name off the ballot.
She was competing in the Seat 1 election against incumbent Justin Farnsworth and fellow challenger Eric Unger. This year's election will be the first time DD2 School Board candidates will have the opportunity to compete in single member districts based on local geography as opposed to having to campaign across the entire school district.
She cited her work and family commitments but plans to stay involved at the local level.
