Why This Matters: Proper flood cleanup is essential to prevent health hazards such as mold and mildew, which can pose serious risks if not addressed promptly. These buckets provide the necessary tools to ensure that homes are cleaned safely, helping residents protect their health and restore their living spaces.
Community Support: In addition to the cleanup buckets, Dorchester County Community Outreach staff will be present at each distribution site to answer any storm-related questions and provide additional support to residents.
Dorchester County is deeply grateful for the ongoing support from The Salvation Army of Charleston and all those contributing to the community's recovery. The county plans to hold a second Cleanup Bucket Distribution and Community Outreach program in the Ashborough area once the flooding has receded.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of these resources to aid in their recovery efforts and to reach out to county staff on-site for any additional assistance needed.
