The traffic unit of the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office will be in action tonight, conducting multiple traffic checkpoints for New Year's eve drivers.
The checkpoints will run from 9:00 PM December 31st into the early hours of January 1st
If you find yourself at one of these checkpoints, be sure to have your driver's license ready to go, as officers will be checking for those.
Drivers may also be subjected to other violations visible to the officer.

Highway 17 near Clubhouse Rd.
200 block of Orangeburg Rd.
Windsor Hill Blvd. area in North Charleston
