SUMMERVILLE, S.C. — Over the weekend, the Summerville Police Department conducted DUI checkpoints, resulting in the issuance of 53 citations and the arrest of two individuals, according to a report released on Tuesday.
The traffic checkpoints were held on Saturday evening as part of an effort to reduce dangerous and impaired driving in the area. Officers set up the DUI checkpoint at two locations: North Maple Street and Stallsville Loop.
